Three Lakes Aquarium

3-lakes
It is a large urban park that’s centered on three different lakes. There is a wide-ranging trail system that begins at the nature center and aquarium, and visitors can do an underwater viewing and look through interpretive exhibits too, including the local fauna and flora. From the middle, the trails meander through different riparian woodlands, meadows, open fields, upland forests, and swamps. You can spot tons of wildlife in the wooded areas like woodland passerines, vireos, and woodpeckers. You can see little darting flecks of gold in swamp forests because the place has warbler program. There is also an observation platform set up on the lake edge. You can observe all sorts of creatures there like waders and heron. If you’re into damselflies and dragonflies, you can also study them extensively here. Wildlife watching is extremely fun here. You can spot amphibians, fish, reptiles, mammals, and birds. The Ivory-Billed Woodpecker is a particular favorite.

A lot of trekkers describe this place as a well-kept secret. It’s a beautiful little spot that you can’t miss if you’re in Virginia. It’s peaceful, pretty, and it’s full of wonderful things to see. You can enjoy walking around all the lakes, and you can sit at the picnic tables and have a picnic. There is also a playground.
