Alley Katz

This is a mainstream music club that has nights that celebrate the Grateful Dead and jazz, as well as rock and pop too. It’s a great place to unwind after a hard business day. If you’ve had a particularly grueling day of sightseeing, this is the place to come and chill out. This nightclub books some hot local music too.

Unfortunately, Alley Katz actually closed down, and the Richmond music community suffered a huge blow because of it. This was a great place to come chill out. The club was shut down by the city of Richmond because it didn’t have a proper business license, and it didn’t pay its meals taxes. What a bummer. This was a superb destination to just hang out and relax. It’s not important to go into the safety or tax issues that might have contributed to its shutdown. However, it is important to note that the most important things that happened to the city of Richmond were that they lost a good bar and they lost a good music venue. That was the real bummer in this situation, not pointing the finger of blame of why this happened, and the reasons behind the shutdown and closure.

Richmond really lost a historic landmark with the shutdown of Alley Katz. Alley Katz was opened in 1995, and it was one of the mainstay businesses in the area. If you wanted to see an awesome metal, punk, or heavy rock band, this was where you went. This had some of the sweetest rock bands from around the city.

This place had some really loud bands, and some really amazing energy too. This was a place that was almost always literally shaking too. There were mosh pits and all the rest you would expect from a wild and fun place.

This was the place to go if you wanted to see the local bands or some new bands that were coming in and performing.

A lot of people used to say that the venue was old and dirty, but they were missing the mystique and charm of the place. There was a huge appeal of the place. Big cities have places that are sort of tucked away, and the locals adore them. This was one of those kinds of places. It wasn’t necessarily that pretty or beautiful, but it was insanely awesome. It was a place that the locals knew well. It saddens many of them to no end that it’s shut down now.
